Well what can I say? A beautiful place, very dog friendly, extremely comfortable, attention to every detail, a proper home from home. Amazing gifts such as fresh milk, fresh eggs, flowers!
A beautiful area, lots to do, sea , walks, pubs, shops not too far! And I wasnt paid to write this! Ooh and lovely hosts too, who get the balance of friendly but not in your face just right.

.....ly good time we had at South Bitworthy. The accommodation is stunning and has everything you want. Its great for dogs with plenty of walks and beaches nearby, some great pubs and equally good cafes nearby. There is one thing always high on the comments lists and that is the welcome cake - home baked with love and affection - its fabulous!! So if you want a noisy horrible place that is crowded don't come to South Bitworthy as you will find the exact opposite there.

2 slightly overworked friends looking for a relaxing place to stay close to good walking - well we found it here. From the warm welcome - fresh bread, cake and a well supplied breakfast hamper that Jane sourced for us - to the moment we left - we had the best time.
The cottage had everything we needed - from the well supplied kitchen (more utensils we could ever use), the wonderfully comfortable beds (beautiful hand made bed spreads too!), en suites (we love our own bathrooms!, the underfloor heating, the wood burner (well we didn't need this but lit it and then had to sit with the door open!), the great space, the peace and quiet but also on the doorstep of some great walking (we did a great walk in Hartland Quay)and not forgetting the chickens, sheep and pigs but also the lovely warm welcome from Jane - nothing was too much trouble. Honestly we both went home well rested and looking forward to our next visit.
